SHINDIG is a brand new music festival taking place on the Garrison Grounds in Halifax, Nova Scotia. It's the perfect opportunity to turn up the volume one last time and celebrate the final summer weekend!

The vision of SHINDIG is and will always be to create an inclusive and safe experience that celebrates and features all forms of performance of music, from locals to superstars. All while supporting the communities and celebrating the beautiful outdoor locations we visit.

The first edition of SHINDIG will be held on September 13 and 14, 2024.

The event is currently Weekend Passes only. 

General Admission tickets are also available with first come, first served grass seating/standing throughout the venue. SHINDIG has a strict NO RE-ENTRY policy. 

Tickets are only available online through TIXR. Buying from any third-party sites is at your own risk (ticket transfers are available on your TIXR account).

All ticket sales are final. The safety and security of all involved in this festival is our top priority and we will do our best to push the show through any weather as long as it is safe to do so. If a headliner needs to be replaced, we will do our best to fill that spot and a refund window may be available if deemed acceptable. We will continue to remain attentive as the event approaches to keep everyone informed through our website, email/SMS notifications and social media.

If you wish to exchange your ticket to a higher tier or larger table, you must first purchase the new table from your same TIXR account, then reach out to TIXR support for assistance.

SHINDIG will have a diverse selection of food trucks and bars on site!

This event is ALL AGES; any patron under 16 must be accompanied by a legal guardian. This event is rain or shine – you must have a valid government issued photo ID to enter. There will be a 19+ section on the grounds.

SHINDIG is an outdoor event (rain or shine), however, there are several instances in which the festival may be paused, evacuated, or canceled due to inclement weather; including (but not limited to): severe thunderstorms, lightning in our festival radius, excessive wind, hail, flooding, air-quality, or as directed by local emergency personnel. Line-up and show schedule are subject to change.

If a site evacuation becomes necessary, attendees will either be advised to temporarily seek shelter or that the festival is cancelled for the remainder of the day. To allow the necessary time to safely evacuate the festival grounds, the evacuation notice may occur before any weather conditions are viewable. We request that all attendees follow the directions of festival staff, security and local law enforcement.

Our event is not a place for behaviour that is inappropriate, off-topic, disruptive, abusive, or illegal and all Participants (Attendees, Staff, Volunteers, Contractors, Partners, Suppliers, Media and Event Personnel) are expected to comply with the Shindig Code of Conduct to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.

Participants must abide by all event guidelines such as prohibited items, designated smoking areas, or accessing restricted areas without proper accreditation. Fencing or barriers should never be moved or broken without direct approval from Festival Management unless in the case of an emergency. All Participants, along with any items they are carrying or conveying, are subject to search prior to being admitted to the festival grounds.

SHINDIG may act in its discretion to address any Participants that fail to meet the standards set forth by the festival, including, without limitation, revoking the violating parties’ tickets or credentials without refund.
